 The Big Freeze

On June 28, 2025, Walkerville Football Club will be hosting a Big Freeze event to raise money and awareness for FightMND. The event will take place during the Round 8 game against Kenilworth and will feature family-friendly activities, including a junior match, face painting, water pistols, merchandise and donation stalls, and a special guest ice bath
challenge.

Senior players will be showing their support by wearing FightMND socks, and there will be a pre-game presentation to highlight the importance of this cause. The club is also working with Kenilworth Football Club and local businesses to secure sponsorships and promote the event.

The Big Freeze aims to raise funds for MND research, strengthen community connections, and solidifying Walkerville Football Club’s standing as a socially responsible organization. Future newsletters will contain further details on how to support this charity.
