From The President – Round 13

Posted: July 17, 2015

To all Cats fans

Hope this edition of the Cats Tail finds you well

Saturday our boys played SMOSH in a game that we absolutely needed to win to be a realistic chance of staying up in A2 next year and unfortunately we went down by 33 points at home to leave us 1 and 11 and 3 games and a healthy % behind 8th place.

It has certainly been a very tough year but one thing that we are proud of is our boys continue to turn up and compete in a very tough competition and we look forward to the Cats playing out the 2015 season to the very end.

Our B Grade fought hard against SMOSH also but ended up going down by 7 points.

On a more positive note we have two major fund raisers coming up in our Annual Ball at the Osmond Terrace Function Centre on Saturday July 25th with already 150 tickets sold and the Annual Sportsman’s Lunch on Friday August 7th at the Walkerville Sports Club with guest speakers Barrie Robran, Russell Ebert and ABC Doyen Roger Wills. We have upped our capacity from 120 to 140 this year for the luncheon but we have less than 10 tickets less so please if you are intending on coming along phone Stuart Callary urgently on 0439-080481 to secure your seat.

It is always a great afternoon.

Its Unley at the Cattery this Saturday afternoon so please if you are not doing anything come along and support the club our boys who are trying their very best to record another 2015 victory and it would be a fantastic fillet to knock off one of the Flag fancies at home.

Go the Cats
